Exchange:

  • We planned and introduced a central emailing system (Exchange), which replaced 99 email servers at UM, and implemented server protection systems (PureMessage).

  • We updated and upgraded the emailing system: UM currently uses cluster Exchange 2016 users can access through the task scheduler. The system has Office Online Server features.

  • We introduced an online archive (Microsoft Office 365 Online Archive) with unlimited capacity.

  • We revised email boundary systems by introducing SPF/DKIM/DMARC, integrating new ClamAV signatures, harmonizing SpamAssassin, adding blacklists, a reporting system, statistics, and warning system (job queue, blacklisting). Functions are monitored through various external service providers.

  • We integrated a task scheduling system (Exchange) and set up a central online server for testing and production.

  • Exchange Hybrid (online Archive, unlimited archive, modern attachment).

  • We deleted mailboxes for disabled AD accounts (deleted after three months), in accordance with the ISP.

Office 365:

  • ​We implemented the Microsoft Office 365 package (as of the time of writing, the following apps are available: OneNote, Class Notebook, Sway, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, Forms, Planner, video, SharePoint, Delve, Yammer, Project, Power Bi, PowerApps, Flow, Stream, Teams,​​ Dynamics 365), integrated features into the UM environment, ensured continuous management (we regulated and are continuously monitoring licences), implemented Microsoft Office for students (UM is now part of Microsoft Student Advantage) and employees, implemented two-factor authentication for Microsoft service administrators (O365, Azure, OMS, etc.), and introduced a reporting system.

  • We implemented Azure AD Connect, which replaced the previously integrated DirSync.

Distribution lists: 

  • We revised the distribution list system and introduced automatically managed systems for employees and students (“zaposleni@", “pedagoski.clanica@", etc.).

  • We set up the Mailman email distribution list manager.

  • We set​ up and adjusted a text messaging system for notifications to students and employees (two-factor authentication). ​​​
